Compliance with Local, State, and Federal Laws
Certain states, including but not limited to, California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and others—prohibit the sale of specific types of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. While Sanborn Gun Shop (SGS) reviews each order for items that may be prohibited in your state, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any firearm or product purchased from SGS complies with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable in their jurisdiction. Returns or refunds related to compliance issues will not be accepted under any circumstances.
NICS Background Check
A NICS-based background check is required for all customers, regardless of whether the firearm is purchased directly from Sanborn Gun Shop or if SGS is receiving the firearm from another dealer as part of an internet sale or transfer. Any firearm deemed non-transferable by SGS due to the customer’s inability to meet local, state, or federal firearm ownership requirements, including failure to successfully pass a NICS background check AND / OR for any other reason(s) will be subject to our return policy. Payment Methods
Credit Card Payments - Payments may be made in-store using cash or credit card, including Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Payments may also be made through our secure website. We unfortunately do not accept American Express. Cash payments are also accepted in our store only.
For your protection:
Sanborn Gun Shop does not store credit card information. Credit card orders will only be accepted if all of the following billing information matches exactly with the credit card issuer:
- Name
- Billing Address
- ZIP Code
- Phone Number
To protect our customers and SGS, we reserve the right to reject any credit card order if we detect ANY indication of fraud or if purchaser or account information cannot be verified.
Shipping
All shipments will be made in accordance with Sanborn Gun Shop shipping policies and in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Please refer to our shipping policy page.
Product Specifications
Sanborn Gun Shop works diligently to ensure the accuracy of all information displayed on our website. However, we are not responsible for typographical, photographic, or pricing errors. Prices and product information may be changed without notice.
Warranty
All products sold by Sanborn Gun Shop carry only the manufacturer’s warranty. SGS does not provide any additional or special warranties. Sanborn Gun Shop is not a warranty repair center and makes no express or implied warranties regarding any products sold. However once a firearm or item has been transferred, we promise to work with our customers in a reasonable and responsible manner to help resolve any issues that may arise with a newly purchased firearm.
Return Policy
All shipments will be made in accordance with Sanborn Gun Shop return policies. Please refer to our return policy page. Any warranty-related issues must be handled directly by the customer (SGS may offer assistance) following the manufacturer’s warranty repair procedures & policies.
Orders Not Picked Up After 30 Days

Undeliverable or Refused Out Of State Shipments
Shipments refused by the customer or the receiving FFL will be subject to the following restocking fees:
- First refused shipment: 25% restocking fee + $150 flat fee
- Second refused shipment: 50% restocking fee + $200 flat fee
- Third refused shipment: 75% restocking fee + $250 flat fee
